20th Century Women (2016)
In 1979 Santa Barbara, a single mother in her fifties worries about raising her teenage son. She enlists the help of two young women living in their boarding house—a punk artist and a thoughtful mechanic—to help guide him into manhood. The film explores the complex relationships between this makeshift family as they navigate love, freedom, and feminism in a changing world.
