5 Broken Cameras (2011)
This documentary is a first-person account by a Palestinian farmer who begins filming his family's life in his West Bank village. Over five years, each of his cameras is destroyed during the filming of the non-violent resistance against the encroaching Israeli settlements and the separation barrier. The footage captures the daily struggles, protests, and personal losses of his community, with the story of the village's resistance framed through the life of his youngest son, who grows up amidst the conflict.
