A Monster Calls (2016)
A young boy struggling to cope with his mother's terminal illness is visited nightly by a giant, ancient tree monster. The monster announces that he will return to tell the boy three stories, and after the third, the boy must tell him a story in return: his truth. The monstrous visits become a form of therapy, helping the boy confront his overwhelming feelings of anger, loss, and fear.
