Tricia's husband has been missing for seven years, and she is finally preparing to declare him legally dead, or "in absentia." As her sister Callie arrives to support her, strange and terrifying events begin to occur. Callie discovers a dark tunnel near the house, and a disoriented man emerges who seems to be connected to the disappearance. Tricia is haunted by visions of her emaciated husband, suggesting he is trapped in another reality. The tunnel appears to be a gateway for a sinister presence that is now fixated on them.
