Ace in the Hole (1951)
A cynical, disgraced newspaper reporter exploits a tragedy for his own gain when a man becomes trapped in a cave collapse. He manipulates the rescue efforts, prolonging the ordeal to keep the story alive and secure his own fame. The film is a scathing indictment of media sensationalism and public voyeurism.
