Adaptation. (2002)
A struggling screenwriter is hired to adapt a bestselling book about orchid smuggling. He becomes hopelessly blocked, paralyzed by the book's lack of a conventional plot and his own insecurities. His personal life bleeds into his work as he wrestles with the adaptation, leading him down a creative path he never could have imagined.
