Agora (2009)
In 4th century AD Roman Egypt, a brilliant female astronomer and philosopher teaches at the Library of Alexandria. As the city becomes increasingly engulfed in religious conflict between Christians, Jews, and pagans, she struggles to protect the knowledge contained within the library. She also continues her scientific work, trying to understand the mysteries of the solar system amidst the rising tide of zealotry.
