A rookie pilot, on her first solo flight, is tasked with flying three friends on a cross-country trip. Shortly after takeoff, their small plane encounters a mysterious and violent electrical storm that refuses to let them leave. They find themselves trapped in an endless squall, lost in the clouds with their instruments failing. As they climb higher to escape, they are confronted by a malevolent, supernatural force that begins to terrorize them, forcing the group to confront their fears and a hidden secret from the past.
