This documentary follows a group of young Danish soldiers as they are deployed for a six-month tour at the Armadillo military base in Helmand Province, Afghanistan. The film immerses the viewer in the daily reality of their mission, from the monotony and boredom of camp life to the sudden, terrifying bursts of combat against Taliban fighters. The soldiers’ initial ideals and perceptions of war are challenged by the complex and morally ambiguous nature of the conflict, where the lines between right and wrong become dangerously blurred.
