Au Revoir les Enfants (1987)
At a Catholic boarding school in occupied France during WWII, a young boy forms a friendship with a new student. He slowly discovers that his friend is Jewish and is being hidden by the priests from the Nazis. Their childhood innocence is shattered by the brutal reality of the war and betrayal.
