Bicentennial Man (1999)
A robot is purchased to perform household chores for a family. Over the course of two centuries, the robot displays unexpected creativity and emotional depth. He begins a unique journey to become more human, seeking his own freedom, designing himself a more human-like appearance, and ultimately fighting for legal recognition as a person, all while outliving the family he was built to serve.
