Following the death of his father, T'Challa returns to the technologically advanced, isolated nation of Wakanda to assume the throne. As the new king and protector, the Black Panther, he faces a challenge from a powerful outsider with a secret claim to the Wakandan throne. This adversary threatens to abandon the country's tradition of secrecy and use its resources to wage a global revolution. T'Challa is forced to confront a painful legacy and question the very principles of his nation to prevent a world-altering conflict.
