This biographical film tells the story of Francesca Cabrini, an Italian immigrant nun who arrived in New York City in the late 19th century. Appalled by the poverty and hardship faced by fellow Italian immigrants, she challenged church and city authorities to get support. With unwavering faith and determination, she built a global empire of hope, founding schools, hospitals, and orphanages to serve the needy.
