Charlie Wilson's War (2007)
A hard-partying, womanizing Texas congressman becomes intrigued by the Soviet invasion of Afghanistan. He teams up with a wealthy Houston socialite and a maverick CIA operative to launch a covert operation to supply the Afghan mujahideen with weapons, a operation that dramatically changes the course of the Cold War.
