Dangerous Liaisons (1988)
In the lavish idleness of pre-revolutionary France, two rival aristocrats and former lovers engage in a cruel wager. He bets that he can seduce a famously virtuous married woman. She challenges him to corrupt a young innocent bride-to-be. They use seduction, deception, and manipulation as their weapons, treating the hearts and reputations of others as pawns in their game of emotional warfare, with devastating consequences.
