Darlings (2022)
A young woman in a Mumbai chawl endures constant humiliation and physical abuse from her alcoholic husband, hoping he will change. After a particularly violent incident, she reaches her breaking point and decides to end the cycle of abuse by any means necessary. Enlisting the help of her mother, she embarks on a darkly comedic path of revenge and reclamation of power. The story follows her transformation from a victim into an architect of her own liberation.
