Dead Silence (2007)
A young widower returns to his eerie hometown after his wife is brutally murdered, her tongue ripped out. The killing seems connected to the legend of a ventriloquist named Mary Shaw, who was murdered decades earlier after being accused of kidnapping a child. Her dying curse promised vengeance on the town, and her collection of terrifying dummy dolls is said to carry her spirit. He must dig into the town's dark past and uncover the truth behind the legend before the curse claims him next.
