Elena (2011)
Elena is a former nurse from a modest background who is now married to a wealthy, older man, Vladimir. Their comfortable life in Moscow is divided by class; Vladimir is cold toward Elena's underachieving son from her first marriage. When Vladimir has a heart attack, he decides to leave his fortune to his estranged daughter, cutting out Elena and her son. Fearing for her son's future, Elena is driven to make a desperate decision that will secure his inheritance, testing the limits of her morality and maternal instinct.
