Escape from New York (1981)
In a dystopian 1997, Manhattan has been converted into a maximum-security prison. When the President's plane crashes inside, a convicted bank robber is offered a pardon if he can infiltrate the island and rescue the Commander-in-Chief within 24 hours from the inmates who now rule the city.
