Galaxy Quest (1999)
The washed-up cast of a canceled space opera television show are mistaken for actual space heroes by a naive alien race. They are recruited to help the aliens in a very real intergalactic war against a genocidal warlord. The actors must use their limited knowledge from the show's episodes to bluff their way through actual combat and save their new allies.
