Good Bye, Lenin! (2003)
In 1989 East Germany, a young man's devoutly socialist mother falls into a coma just before the Berlin Wall falls. She awakens eight months later, and doctors warn that any shock could be fatal. To protect her, he transforms their apartment into a time capsule of the vanished GDR, orchestrating an elaborate charade to convince her that communism is still alive and well.
