In a distant future where humanity has exhausted Earth and fled to the stars, an oppressive regime rules with an iron fist, erasing the past to control the present. The only symbol of resistance is the legendary space pirate, Captain Harlock, and his ghost ship, the Arcadia. Harlock wages a lone war against the invaders, striving to return freedom and a home to humanity. A key agent of the regime is sent to infiltrate Harlock's crew but finds his loyalties tested as he uncovers the true, tragic history behind the conflict and Harlock's seemingly impossible goal.
