High School Musical (2006)
Two high school students from different social circles—the captain of the basketball team and a shy, academically focused transfer student—discover a shared passion for singing during a karaoke party on New Year's Eve. Back at school, they decide to audition for the lead roles in the upcoming musical, challenging the rigid social cliques and expectations that define their school, and learning to embrace their individual talents.
