Hysteria (2011)
In Victorian London, a progressive young doctor takes a job working for a physician who specializes in treating women for "hysteria," a common diagnosis for various female complaints. The treatment involves manual stimulation to induce "paroxysms." The doctor's work leads him to inadvertently become involved in the invention of the first electric vibrator.
