In a Lonely Place (1950)
A volatile, cynical Hollywood screenwriter is suspected of murdering a hat-check girl he briefly brought home. His alibi is provided by his beautiful neighbor, who corroborates his story and soon becomes involved with him. As the police investigation continues, their relationship deepens, but her growing love is increasingly shadowed by fear as she witnesses his uncontrollable anger and wonders if he could indeed be capable of murder.
