A week in the life of a struggling folk singer in the 1960s Greenwich Village music scene. Llewyn Davis is talented but his own self-destructive behavior and stubborn principles keep him from success. He couch-surfs, alienates friends, and tries to secure a gig, all while caring for a friend's cat and facing the consequences of his choices.
