Jigarthanda Double X (2023)
In the 1970s, a ruthless gangster aspires to become a movie star, believing it will grant him power and legacy. He forces a talented but struggling filmmaker to direct a film with him as the hero. Their collaboration is a clash of egos and worlds, set against a backdrop of rising political violence. The filmmaker sees an opportunity to create a cinematic masterpiece by channeling the gangster's real-life brutality into the art.
