John Carter (2012)
A Civil War veteran is mysteriously transported to the planet Mars, known to its inhabitants as Barsoom. The planet's lower gravity grants him superhuman strength and agility. He is captured by a tribe of green warriors but soon becomes embroiled in a planet-wide conflict between several warring nations, finding himself the key to saving the entire planet and its people.
