King Arthur (2004)
This version reimagines the legend, portraying Arthur and his Knights as Roman cavalry officers of Sarmatian descent stationed in Britain. As the Roman Empire withdraws, they are offered their freedom for one final mission: to rescue a Roman family living north of Hadrian's Wall from an invading Saxon army. The mission forces Arthur to choose between his Roman orders and his loyalty to the British people, including a mysterious warrior woman who shows him the land's old ways.
