Kon-Tiki (2012)
In 1947, ethnographer Thor Heyerdahl sets out to prove his theory that Polynesia was settled by ancient people from South America. Despite being unable to swim and fearing the water, he and a small crew build a primitive balsawood raft using only period-appropriate materials. They embark on a perilous 4,300-mile journey across the Pacific Ocean, facing storms, sharks, and their own doubts on this daring anthropological expedition.
