Lean on Pete (2017)
A fifteen-year-old boy named Charley Thompson spends a summer in Portland, Oregon, where he finds work caring for an aging quarterhorse named Lean on Pete. He forms a deep bond with the horse. When Charley learns that Pete is destined for the slaughterhouse, he embarks on a journey across the vast American Northwest to find a safe home for the animal, confronting the harsh realities of life and loneliness on the road.
