Lorenzo's Oil (1992)
Based on a true story, parents are told there is no cure for their son's rare, degenerative nerve disease. Refusing to accept this, they embark on a desperate mission to educate themselves in medicine and biochemistry. They challenge the medical establishment and tirelessly research until they discover a possible therapy using a specific oil.
