Mean Streets (1973)
A small-time hoodlum in New York's Little Italy struggles to reconcile his ambitions within the local mob with his Catholic guilt and his personal code of loyalty. His life becomes increasingly complicated as he tries to protect his reckless and irresponsible friend, who owes money to dangerous loan sharks. Navigating the pressures of family, crime, and his own moral compass, he finds himself on a dangerous path that threatens to consume everything he cares about.
