Miracle on 34th Street (1947)
A kind, old man named Kris Kringle is hired to be the Santa Claus for Macy's department store. He claims to be the real Santa, a assertion that leads to a court case to determine his sanity. A young lawyer and a cynical little girl, who has been taught by her mother not to believe in fantasies, find their lives intertwined with his. The event forces the city of New York to consider the value of faith and imagination.
