Modern Times (1936)
A factory worker on an assembly line suffers a nervous breakdown from the relentless, monotonous pace of modern industrial life. After recovering, he is mistaken for a communist leader and arrested. Upon his release, he struggles to hold down any job in a depressed economy, all while trying to build a life with a homeless orphan girl he has befriended.
