Nineteen Eighty-Four (1954)
In a dystopian future, a low-ranking bureaucrat living under the oppressive rule of a totalitarian Party begins to secretly rebel. He starts an illicit love affair and dares to think independent thoughts, acts that are considered "thoughtcrimes." His small acts of defiance attract the attention of the oppressive Thought Police, putting him in grave danger.
