Nocturnal Animals (2016)
A wealthy art gallery owner receives a manuscript from her ex-husband, dedicated to her and titled after a nickname he had for her. As she reads the violent and disturbing thriller, which tells the story of a family's terrifying road trip, she is deeply unsettled. She interprets the novel as a veiled threat and a symbolic revenge tale, forcing her to reflect on their past relationship and her own choices.
