On the Basis of Sex (2018)
A determined young lawyer faces rampant sexism and discrimination while trying to establish her legal career in the 1950s and 60s. She is unable to find a law firm that will hire a woman. She teams up with her husband to take on a groundbreaking tax case that challenges a federal law based on gender discrimination, aiming to use it as a vehicle to overturn the system and set a precedent for equality.
