On the Waterfront (1954)
A former prizefighter now works as a longshoreman on the corrupt docks of Hoboken, New Jersey. He is content to follow the code of the mob-run union until he meets the sister of a man whose murder he was involved in. Guilt-ridden and encouraged by a local priest, he must decide whether to remain silent or to testify against the union bosses.
