Peeping Tom (1960)
A withdrawn and troubled focus puller at a film studio works on a documentary about fear. He secretly films women with a camera rigged with a deadly spike, capturing their final terrified expressions. His obsession stems from a traumatic childhood of being the subject of his father’s own psychological experiments on fear. His life becomes complicated when he develops a genuine connection with a kind-hearted tenant in his building, which challenges his compulsive behavior.
