Pom Poko (1994)
A community of magical raccoon dogs (tanuki) find their forest habitat threatened by a massive suburban development project. They use their ancient shape-shifting abilities to stage a series of ghostly illusions and pranks to scare away the humans and save their home, culminating in a desperate, grand spectacle.
