At Brookside High School, the end of the school year means one thing: prom. The story follows several groups of students as they prepare for the big night. There's the perfect couple, the loners, the rivals, and the over-involved committee members. When the decorations for the dance are accidentally destroyed, an unlikely alliance forms between Nova, the dedicated prom coordinator, and Jesse, a rebellious delinquent, who are forced to work together to save the event. The preparations highlight the anxieties, friendships, and romantic hopes that define the high school experience.
