Promised Land (2012)
Two corporate salespeople for a natural gas company arrive in a small rural town with an offer to lease drilling rights from the local farmers. They face opposition from a respected schoolteacher and a grassroots environmental organizer who warns the community of the dangers of fracking. The company representatives must win over the town, a task that becomes increasingly difficult as they confront the residents' concerns and their own doubts.
