Quills (2000)
The infamous Marquis de Sade is imprisoned in an asylum for his scandalous writings. There, he continues to write his erotic stories, which are smuggled out by a laundress and published to the public. The asylum's compassionate priest tries to treat him, but a new, brutal doctor arrives and employs increasingly harsh methods to censor the Marquis, with tragic results.
