Rollerball (1975)
In a corporate-controlled future, a violent global sport called Rollerball is used to demonstrate the futility of individual effort. Its greatest star begins to question the oppressive system he represents. The corporate executives, fearing his rising popularity and independence, attempt to manipulate the game to force him into retirement or kill him, turning the sport into a personal battle for survival.
