Sea of Love (1989)
A jaded New York detective investigating a series of murders finds the victims are all men who met their killer through the personal ads in a newspaper. He goes undercover, placing his own ad to lure the suspect, and begins a passionate relationship with a potential prime suspect. His professional duty becomes dangerously entangled with his personal desires, leaving him unsure if he is hunting a killer or falling in love with one.
