Seven Years in Tibet (1997)
An arrogant Austrian mountaineer becomes lost in the Himalayas after escaping a British internment camp in India during World War II. He finds refuge in the forbidden city of Lhasa and slowly earns the trust of the people, eventually forming a close friendship with the young Dalai Lama, which profoundly changes his worldview.
