Shanghai (2012)
In 1941, an American expatriate returns to the politically tense city of Shanghai, which is under Japanese occupation. He is secretly investigating the death of his friend, a journalist. His inquiry leads him into a dangerous web of intrigue involving the Japanese military, the Chinese resistance, and international spies, uncovering a conspiracy that could ignite the impending war.
