Sick of Myself (2022)
A young woman stuck in a competitive relationship with her narcissistic artist boyfriend grows increasingly desperate for attention. She begins to feign a rare, dramatic illness, ingesting dangerous medication to produce convincing symptoms. Her deception spirals as she basks in the sympathy and concern she receives, leading her to ever more extreme lengths to maintain the lie. The story is a dark satire on victimhood, social media, and the lengths people go to feel special.
