Sleepers (1996)
Four childhood friends from Hell's Kitchen are sent to a juvenile detention center after a prank goes horribly wrong. There, they endure months of brutal abuse from the guards. Thirteen years later, two of them encounter their chief tormentor and murder him. The other two, now a prosecutor and a journalist, devise an intricate plan to manipulate the legal system and protect their friends, forcing a reckoning with the traumatic past they all share.
